A Monday's Thought; Where Imagination Takes Hold

The position of publishing literary works differs so much today.  Everything is digital, bound books, not dinosaurs yet, but with each passing day takes a step to extinction.  Heavy book bags a thing of the past, e-readers carrying thousands of books at your finger tips, the vogue.  Only one problem, what happens with a long term power outage, yup grid hiccup illiteracy...

Still the aspects of reading and opening the mind exist, without all the weight.  Read a page, close your eyes and transport yourself to realms which limits are that only of your mind.  You preset the direction, conception, the interpretation of the writers word and travel to the expanse of your imagination.

The new E-readers open up the ability for seeing impaired to grasp once again the vision of the scribe, back lighting, font sizing, ah the wonders of technology...

Myself, with sun filtering I take to my pontoon, with cooling hydration material and the latest work of my favorite authors, float across the waters of Ackerson Lake, enjoying page after page as the sounds of the wave lap against the pontoons, no wind can blow my pages, no water spray to ruin my reading time with ink running down the pages...  A auto-hold when time out is taken, page marked without loss.

Oh how the old, love the nuances of the new, this is a new trick this old dog has learned and so enjoy's.  Please take a moment and share a comment on what you like best in reading and where does your best reading place lie.  My wife's, is lying in front of the fireplace, was book in hand, now Kindle.

Till next time, enjoy the moments spent reveling in the words of poets and scribes, may they take you beyond the scope that dreams can dream.
